Third consecutive year for breast cancer awareness video
EASTAR Health System (EASTAR Health Services) will be producing the Pink Glove Dance video October 1- 2. This is the third consecutive year EASTAR Health Services is taking part in this event, which is open to staff, physicians, volunteers, allied health professionals, their families and the community. No dance experience is necessary and all levels of mobility will be accommodated.
The Pink Glove Dance began a few years ago by a company called MedLine who teamed up with a hospital to produce a video aimed at raising breast cancer awareness. The hospital staff wore pink gloves and choreographed dance routines to a popular song. The video went viral, and since then hospitals and other organizations across the nation have produced their own version of the Pink Glove Dance for the same original purpose.
