Employee Support for Breast Cancer Awareness
Many staff members and volunteers collaborated to make EASTAR Health’s second annual Pink Glove Dance. According to Medline, The Pink Glove Dance began with healthcare workers in one hospital in Portland, Oregon dancing to raise awareness. They donned pink gloves and made a video, which went viral on YouTube. Three years later, organizations across the country have joined in to show their support for the cause.

Fortunately, breast cancer is highly detectable through digital mammography screening. If breast cancer is detected early, the five-year survival rate is 97 percent. The earlier it’s treated, the better your chance of survival.
