EASTAR Health Services provides the benefit of on-site child care to its employees and other select health care providers within the region, and has offered this benefit since 1983. It is fully licensed by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services as a Two-Star Facility, and is licensed to accommodate 98 children at any given time. Services are provided for children age six weeks to six years old or prior to first grade. The operation of the facility is Monday thru Friday, 5:45 a.m., to 8:00 p.m. It allows parents to have a peace of mind while they’re at work to know their children are being cared for in a safe and nurturing environment.
Care at EASTAR Health Services Child Development Center has as its goal the nurturing of the whole child. Central to care is the presence of loving adults who give children as much personal attention as possible. Human interaction is valued in the center and continuity with family life is fostered through parent participation, family events, and times for conferring and sharing. This quality of care is sought in each classroom by encouraging a consistent team of Caregiver/Teachers, a developmentally appropriate curriculum, and explicit expectations for the operation of the program. The curriculum of the Child Development Center provides creative activities in an environment that leads itself to the special developmental needs of children as they grow, allowing them to experience all areas of learning socially, creatively, and intellectually.
Enrollment
To enroll a child in the center, the parent(s) or guardian(s) must complete the required enrollment forms and schedule an appointment to visit which includes a review of forms required by entry, review of the Parent Handbook, and a tour of the applicable programs. All forms must be completed ONE WEEK PRIOR to the first day of classroom attendance.
The required forms are:
- Emergency Medical Information
- Final Enrollment Information
- Child’s Immunization Record (Record must be kept current)
- Parent’s Agreement
- Employee Schedule Form
- Contract
- Other Agreements as necessary
Failure to complete and update required forms may result in a closure of your child care services.
Enrollment Priority
Qualified children will be enrolled in the order their applications are received with minor exceptions, please see Parent Handbook for a listing of detailed exceptions. If a child cannot be admitted to the program desired, the parent has the option of placing his/her name on a waiting list. Priority is based on the date the request to placed on the list was made.
